Emily Joiner from the Talbot County Department of Social Services and some of her clients volunteered on Saturday to help plant nearly 1,000 trees off of Wye Heights Road in Easton.
The tree planting was coordinated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and funded by Washington Gas Energy Services and Sterling Planet through the Carbon Reduction Fund.
To date, more than 6,400 trees have been planted in Maryland
through donations to the Carbon Reduction Fund.
