Delmarva Review editors will answer questions and preview the new issue on September 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Golden Corral Bar & Grill located in Easton, MD.
The Eastern Shore Writers Association starts its new season with what Hal Wilson, ESWA President, calls “an excellent program.”
What is meant by “literary?” Can I get published in a literary review? Otherwise, what is the value to me, as a writer? What do I need to do? A panel of the editors from The Delmarva Review will answer all of your questions and preview the new issue at the September ESWA meeting. Speakers include executive editor Wilson Wyatt, fiction editors Margot Miller and Hal Wilson, and nonfiction editor George Merrill.
Literary writing is usually considered as the far end of the writing quality spectrum, often considered unattainable by many, but this program may surprise you with the rewards of reaching for something of greater depth in your writing.
Since ESWA launched The Delmarva Review,as a regional literary journal open to all writers, the Review has published new poetry, short stories and essays by over 100 writers, in print. The writers have come from 18 states and seven foreign countries, but 70 per cent are from the region, the tri-state Delmarva and Chesapeake area. Learn about your opportunities from the editors of your own regional literary review. Informational handouts will be included.
The Eastern Shore Writers’ Association (ESWA) holds monthly writing programs, sponsors the Bay to Ocean Writers Conference every February, and publishes The Delmarva Review, a literary journal for all writers. As a nonprofit organization, it supports writers and the literary arts across the Delmarva Peninsula.
