The Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD, is offering the first lecture in a series of lectures in its Kittredge – Wilson Speaker Series entitled, “Picasso and Others: Collecting Prints for the Academy” by Jonathan Bober, Curator and Head of Department of Old Master Prints, National Gallery of Art. The lecture will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Museum.
Bober, who has extensive curatorial expertise at the Fogg Museum, Blanton Museum, and since 2011, the National Gallery of Art, will discuss challenges and focus on expanding collections for the modern museum, including the Academy Art Museum’s recent acquisition of Picasso and Rembrandt prints. The cost of the Kittredge-Wilson Speaker Series, which includes six lectures, is $75 for Museum members and $100 for non-members.
