The Academy Art Museum is hosting its fifth Fall Portfolio Night on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. for area high school students. Students are encouraged to bring their artwork to receive expert tips on what makes a winning portfolio from a panel of art school representatives and professional artists. This evening is ideal for high school seniors who are considering applying to art school and underclassmen who would like to get a leg up on preparing a strong portfolio.
There are a variety of careers in art today, including art administration, architecture, art education, computer graphics, design, fashion, graphic design, illustration, industrial and business design, photography, video and film.
The event is free and parents, teachers and guidance counselors are welcome to attend as well. Reservations for Portfolio Night are required. To register, email Constance Del Nero, at [email protected] or call her directly at 978-902-1993 for more information.
