Saint Peter, Saint Paul and St Michaels were all present at Baines field on Saturday as the St Michaels Saints hosted the Sabers from St Peter & Paul High School. When the game started it was overcast but the clouds were free from precipitation. However, in the third inning it started to sprinkle and at times turned to a steady rain. The umpires agreed that the rain did not hamper the field of play and the game continued. The rain was on again off again the rest of the game.
The Saints managed to win once again, by invoking the slaughter rule with a 12 to 0 victory over the Sabers when they failed to close the 12 point lead in the fifth inning. Hunter Allen was the starting pitcher and did a great job in his first time on the mound.
Next up, The EASTON Warriors on Monday at 4PM. If you are a Saints fan you can’t miss this cross town, cross county rivalry.
As I announced at the game on Saturday, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.
