Local Eastern Shore aerial photographer and pilot Hunter Harris of Aloft Aerial will hold a book signing event on Saturday, July 6th from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the News Center in Easton’s Talbottown Shopping Center on Washington St.
His book, Shoreline Shapes and Monsters of the Chesapeake is comprised of 40 artful aerial photographs of the Chesapeake Bay’s shorelines that he’s taken over the past 35 years. All of the photos depict the constantly changing shoreline, and some of the photos even show the same spot, taken from the same perspective, in different years.
Harris’ intent with this book is to inspire readers’ imaginations, and provoke friendly challenges as readers see firsthand how Mother Nature responds to ecological change. Harris asks readers to use their imagination as they ponder the changing Bay environment.
The book belongs in every Chesapeake collection, is appropriate for all age groups, and is printed in the United States of America.
