St Michaels – On November 8, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a white Ford F150 on St Michaels Road near Madison Avenue for equipment violations. Upon contact with the vehicle operator, Steven Kevin Tarleton, 20 of Tilghman Island, MD, the Deputy detected the odor of marijuana. Three other occupants were located in the pickup truck, to include Kevin Steven Tarleton Jr, 21 of Tilghman Island, MD. Steven and Kevin Tarleton were found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Both were issued criminal citations and released to a parent upon signatures on the citations.
St Michaels – On November 11, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1000 block of South Talbot Street in reference to an assault on a minor. Information was developed that Adam Hunter Higgins, 26 assaulted a minor at the residence by choking him and pulling his shirt. Higgins was charged with assault in the 1st degree; assault in the 2nddegree; reckless endangerment; child abuse 2nd degree and neglect of minor. Higgins was processed and taken before a District Court Commissioner who released him on his personal recognizance.
Easton – On November 15, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office located an occupied 2005 Ford passenger vehicle parked at the Kingston Landing during hours the landing is marked closed. The Deputies located three passengers in the vehicle and advised them they were trespassing. During contact, the Deputies detected the odor of burning marijuana in the vehicle. The occupants advised they had smoked marijuana earlier, but did not have any additional marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the occupants revealed a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia on the person of Joseph Sherman Ferguson Jr, 21 of Easton, MD. The two other occupants, Thomas Douglas Woolford, 22 of Easton, MD and Marshall Elliott Mainguy, 21 of Annapolis, MD were issued criminal citations charging them with trespassing. Ferguson was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and trespassing. All were released upon their signatures on the criminal citations.
