Since the 1960s, Bob Horvath has collected paintings and drawings from the Golden Age of American illustration which covered the first half of the 20th century. He will speak on this marvelous art at a free talk, “The Wonderful Art of Illustration” at 7 PM on Thursday evening, July 24 at the St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Free Library.
Mr. Horvath is an artist, collector, teacher and the Director of the Talbot County Free Library. Bob is well know internationally for his aviation art and for his large collection of illustration paintings and the prints that delighted generations of Americans. Bob will share his knowledge of illustration at this free talk. Mr. Horvath is a Board Member and President of the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA. The St. Michaels Art League, assisted by a grant from AT&T and support from the Talbot County Arts Council, is presenting ARTfest, “100 Days of Art” during the summer of 2014. Programs include a series of free public presentations on art, workshops for adults and children, Master Art Classes and a Member Gallery at 106 Railroad Ave., St. Michaels.
