On Friday, October 28, 2016, Easton’s 33rd Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast drew a crowd of 200 people to the Tidewater Inn’s Gold Room in Easton. The breakfast featured three speakers: Lizbeth Abbott Haslup, M. Ed., of Easton, Reading and Early Childhood Supervisor with the Talbot County Public Schools; Wayne Layfield of Easton, retired Inspector on the Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia and an Instructor in Management, Supervisory and Gun Safety classes; and Ed Allen of Easton, CFO at Shore Bancshares. Special music was provided by Terron Quailes and Leroy Potter and scripture readings were done by members of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Camino de Fe and ChesMRC. A special presentation was made to Bob Dunsmoor of Easton who has been involved every year with the Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast since its inception in 1983.
