Fiction: Finding Your Voice and Style with Gerald Sweeney

Each writer must create his or her own voice and style. This class is designed to help writers individualize their creative writing to make it distinctive and by developing singularly colorful characters that will provoke a strong response in readers. Gerald is a retired New York magazine executive, and writes literary fiction. This workshop is presented in partnership with The Eastern Shore Writers Association workshop series held in Easton this spring. Spiritual Bell Making Workshop with Dawn Malosh

Learn how to make your own personal spiritual bell in this unique spiritual bell-making workshop! Teaching Artist and Bell-maker, Dawn Malosh will teach participants the various spiritual and metaphysical uses for bells such as meditation, intention and space-clearing. Participants will leave this workshop with their own hand-made ceramic bell that assists them in their spiritual work. Bell-building techniques, assemblage methods and finishing methods will be demonstrated in this exciting hands-on opportunity. All participants will complete their own personal ceramic spiritual bell by the end of this two part workshop. Dawn is a seasoned teacher as well as an artist. She has taught thousands of students from all artistic levels for nearly two decades. She creates a variety of bells and other works artworks in her Preston, Maryland art studio.
Zentangle Intermediate with Susan Green

In this intermediate class, you will learn more about strings, tangle enhancers, shading, and tangles requiring a deeper level of concentration. How can a paper tile, a drawn string and several tangles help you to relax yet be focused? Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured, repetitive patterns from which beautiful images emerge. Increased focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world by all ages, skill ranges, and interests. Zentangle is a mindful practice that increases attentiveness and focus. It is easy to learn and easy to do. Prerequisite: Zentangle Basics. Bring the Zentangle kit from the Zentangle Basics class. Life Orientation Experience with Ken and Sarah Sadler

Life orientations are the ways each of us lives our lives to achieve our goals and how our game plans work or don’t work for us. It tells us where we are going wrong and offers workable suggestions on how to put it right. Your self-understanding as well as your ability to manage business and personal relationships will be enhanced. It has proven to be amazingly accurate. And we will have fun discovering together. We will have nibbles and wine to celebrate. Sarah and Ken Sadler had great results using this survey with individuals and organizations during their management consulting years. Mosaics: Ultimate Recycling with Sue Stockman

Learn how to give new life to old and broken objects! Using salvaged, found and recycled material, you will learn all of the skills needed to begin creating your own mosaic projects. Bring a bag lunch, or explore St. Michaels during the break before the grouting session. Please note: Class is 9:30a-2:00pm; break for lunch and explore St. Michaels; Grouting 5:30p-7:00p return to complete the project.
