On Saturday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m., the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library will show Franco Zeffirrelli’s “Romeo & Juliet” on the library’s professional, theatre-size screen.
Nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, “Romeo & Juliet” won two Oscars and turned Olivia Hussey into an international celebrity. Exotic sets, showy costumes, comedy, tragedy, a murderous sword fight, and the greatest love story of all time—this movie has it all.
The film is being screened as part of the library’s year-long celebration of William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday. It is rated PG.
All library programming is free and open to the public. Patrons do not need to pre-register to attend this film. For more information, call the library at 410-822-1626, or visit tcfl.org.
