Crashbox Theatre Company welcomed professional actress Elizabeth Broadhurst to Easton during the last week of September to work with students in Easton High School’s production of Mary Poppins. The students learned how to be “Practically Perfect” with their characters. She also taught a Musical Theatre Masterclass for the Crashbox Theatre Troupe. The Crashbox Troupe is a select group of performers that have earned their spot in the Troupe by talent, dedication, attitude, and commitment to Crashbox.
Elizabeth is a professional Equity actor from NYC. She has played roles such as Grace Farrell in the Madison Square Garden production of Annie and can be heard as Grace Farrell on the 30th Anniversary Annie cast recording. She also played the roles of Winifred Banks and Mary Poppins in the US National Tour of Mary Poppins and has played Mary Poppins in many professional Regional productions around the country. Says Elizabeth of her time with the Easton High School theatre students: “It is truly inspiring to see how dedicated the kids, teachers, and parents are to putting on this show. We have put in a lot of hard work in rehearsal together, the final product is going to be fantastic!”
Crashbox Theatre Company is dedicated to providing quality experiences for youth, teenagers, and even adults in the community as well as supporting EHS’ and EMS’ theatrical productions.
Mary Poppins flies into the EHS Auditorium this Fall! Show dates are Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28 at 7pm with a Sunday matinee on Oct 22 at 2pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Easton High School office or an hour before each show. $10 for adults and $5 for children/students (18 and under).
