From bison, fish and fowl to colorful crabs, pensive cows and cuddly cats, humans have been depicting other animals since they could hold sticks and find a flat surface. This artistic fascination with other species is on view all of November in CRITTERS, an exhibit of watercolor paintings of animals by the students of Barbara Jablin at the St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Library.
The exhibit will feature paintings by Pat Alberico, Peggy Decker, Ann DeMart, Pat Hanlon, Jo Merrill, Ruth McCarthy, David Murphy, Nancy O’Brien, Peg Pappa, Jan Perdue, Virginia Perram, Judy Wolgast, Camille Woodbury and Beth Wright.
