Easton’s own 15 year old Summer Snead landed a role on Investigation Discovery Channel’s House of Horrors: Kidnapped Season 2. She plays the part of “Michael’s Girlfriend” on episode 207 “Buried Alive”. The air date is Tuesday, April 21st at 10:00PM.
TV rage.com describes episode “Buried Alive” as “Michael Marshall is one of 26 kids that have been kidnapped by delusional thrill seekers. After being held in a buried truck for over a day, it looks like they will never see the light of day again. But Michael Marshall refuses to say “die.”
“House of Horrors: Kidnapped” reveals terrifying tales of people who were kidnapped, yet were lucky enough to survive. Each episode centers on one person’s ordeal. Starting from before the abduction right through to the hours, days, or months of captivity and finally to the escape and recovery as told by the victim in their own haunting recollection. Prior to winning this national TV role, Snead was a featured on camera as a Soloist on the Pitch Perfect Music Video directed by Mike Tompkins onYouTube.com and locally as an Interviewer for the Plein Air Easton Festival on MCTV Channel 15.
Snead’s acting career was born from local theatre. As a child she attended Avalon Theatre’s Curtain Call and proceeded on to Summer Fame, Tred Avon Players, Chesapeake Youth Chorale, Chesapeake Children’s Theatre, Saints Peter & Paul School, Clear Space Theatre and Easton High School. She won the “Allstars” award from the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, GA in 2014 and “Best Group Ensemble” in 2015. She has also studied with various companies in New York City.
In addition to acting, Snead is an active singer/songwriter and musician. She released a debut EP, “Welcome to My World,” and music video, “Put Your Hands Up,” in 2014 and just finished writing and recording her first full-length album available at her show April 17th in the Stoltz Listening Room at the Avalon Theatre in Easton, MD.
