St. Michaels Business Association in partnership with St. Michaels Community Center and St. Michaels Events are sponsoring the 2nd Annual Celebrate the Spirit of the Irish.
Join us to kick off the weekend with the Maritime Tradition of the Burning of the Socks. The luck of the Leprechaun will fill the air with the discounts throughout the town.
Restaurants will host the “Flavor of the Irish”, including menu items with Irish traditions and names. The following establishments will take part: Ava’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar, BlackThorn Pub, Carpenter Street Saloon, Marcoritaville, Gina’s, Theo’s, Town Dock, and The Tilghman Island Inn
Friday: The Maritime tradition of the “Burning of the Socks” kicks off the weekend sponsored by St. Michaels Events. This will be held from 5:45PM to 7:00PM at Aida’s Victoriana Inn.
Saturday: Events include a Scavenger Hunt, family fun activities and games for all sponsored by the St. Michaels Community Center. The Town Leprechaun will be strolling around town giving discounts to businesses. There will also be a Best Irish costume contest.
At 5:45PM, the sounds of the bagpipes will lead the procession in honor of Mr. Finnegan leading to the Irish Wake. We invite everyone to join in line up at 5:30PM in St. Mary’s Square.
St. Michaels businesses and residents have again caught the Leprechaun and the Spirit of the Irish will fill the streets – don’t miss out! Come and celebrate the Spring!
