Easton – On May 31, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a silver Chrysler Pacifica on Dover Neck Road near Barker’s Landing Road for speeding. The Deputies made contact with the operator, Eric Antoine Brice, 29 of Easton, MD and discovered Brice was not in possession of a driver’s license. After a brief conversation the Deputy returned to his patrol vehicle and initiated a records check on Brice discovering his privilege to drive a motor vehicle had been revoked and an outstanding warrant was on file for his arrest. As the Deputy exited his patrol vehicle, Brice accelerated in his vehicle and fled from the scene with two Deputies in pursuit. During the pursuit the Deputies observed Brice driving in a reckless manner on several back roads and onto Dover Road, where he crossed into Caroline County. The Deputies requested assistance from the Maryland State Police and the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office. Talbot County Deputies continued the pursuit to Popular Neck Road where Brice lost control and crashed the vehicle into a tree. Brice exited the vehicle and ran from the scene on foot; however he was apprehended by the Talbot County Deputies after a brief foot chase. Brice was taken into custody and a passenger in the vehicle, Aaron Lamont Brice, 24 of Easton, MD was checked for injury and also found to be wanted on an outstanding warrant through Worcester County Circuit Court and taken into custody. Eric Brice was ordered held on a $50,000.00 bond and Aaron Brice was turned over to authorities from Worcester County. The Maryland State Police conducted the traffic accident investigation.
