In a town that loves boats, and all the things that come with boats, like weather, there was not even a hint of disappointment that a light rain had fallen on Oxford Day today. In fact, not only was there a special resilience with those sponsoring the event but the thousands who show up, rain or shine, to celebrate this tiny town’s place in the world.
And this year started off with a bang with the opening a remarkable 96-acre open-space project this morning. The Oxford Conservation Park a joint venture with Talbot County and Maryland’s Project Open Space.
The Spy checked out the ribbing cutting and the morning dog show this morning.
