Plans to annex 13 acres of property land along Rt. 33 close to Rt. 322 by the Easton Town Council were temporarily defeated at Monday meeting. Owners of the parcel of land were seeking to have Easton include the site into the incorporated city zone while agreeing not to seek a zoning classification for five years.
As these clips from Monday’s meeting show, council members seemed to be in favor of annexation but due to some last minute issues, it was decided by a 4-1 vote that the current proposal would be rejected in total, with the assumption that a new draft resolution would be presented that specifically resolved those issues in the near future.
