It was the Easton Town Council’s turn last night to address a proposal that would result in the annexation of 13 acres of property along Rt. 33 close to Rt. 322. While not binding, the “Council Consensus” gives council members and the general public a general clue on whether such a proposal would gain support.
Starting with Council President, John Ford, followed by Ward One’s Al Silverstein and Ward Two’s Pete Lesher, there were several subjects raised about the role of future retail on the property, traffic concerns, and how the site fits into Easton’s Comprehensive Plan. Afterward, Ford make it clear that the public comment phase would continue at the next meeting.
