Talbot County Council President Corey Pack has no hesitation in saying that 2015 started very badly. For the long-term Talbot County political leader, this was not the result of policy failure but a six-month physical recovery from a fall which left him in a wheelchair for a good bit of the year.
But it is also safe to say that 2015 was a year of significant challenge for Pack and his leadership of County Council as they wrestled with the unanticipated request to remove a Confederate war veterans memorial from the county courthouse lawn and entered into a community discussion about possible revisions to the county’s 2015 comprehensive plan.
In his Spy interview, Council President Pack discussed these complex policy issues and also some of the other highlights from 2015 and what holds for the future in 2016.
