I love the photos on the Historical Society Project Rewind. This one in particular takes me back to the time I was in high school in New York. Call me old fashioned, but it’s nice to see the young ladies dressed in the flattering blouses and skirts of that time. I remember how feminine we felt. We were not allowed to wear slacks to school unless it was snowing.
What a pity today’s young women often do not appear to pride themselves on feeling feminine in a similar fashion.
