Talbot Historical Society Project Rewind: Saluting Mrs. W. Alton Jones

Mrs. W. Alton ( Nettie Marie) Jones was Easton’s benefactress for more than four decades. Mr. & Mrs. Jones moved to Talbot County in 1942. Mr. Jones was the President of Cities Service Oil Co. but was killed in a plane crash on March 1, 1962. Examples of Nettie Marie Jones’ legacy in Talbot County are the YMCA, Memorial Hospital, Hog Neck Golf Course, Hog Neck Community Center and skating rink, and St. Mark’s Ministry.
