Established in 1977, The Caroline County Council of Arts (CCCA) celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. In honor of this special milestone, CCCA has launched its “77 Reasons to Celebrate 40 Years of the Arts in Caroline” campaign where a CCCA commemorative fact and photo is posted daily on the CCCA facebook page: carolinearts.
These 77 days also represent a countdown to CCCA’s special June 3rd celebration, “That ‘70s Event”, a ‘70s themed party commemorating the achievements of the arts council and featuring an evening of fun and games, food and drinks, and of course, an opportunity to shake your groove thing on the dance floor! Attendees are encouraged to get their hustle on with their best ’70s attire for the costume contest. So, adults, 21 and over, put on your boogie shoes and join CCCA for an evening at the Fretterd Community Center in Denton. Discounted tickets are available online and at The Foundry until May 21, after that, the price goes up, so get your tickets now. Visit carolinearts.org for tickets and more information.
CCCA would like to recognize all its past board members, staff and volunteers at the event and would like to hear their CCCA stories. If you are a past member, staff or volunteer, please contact CCCA at 410-479-1009 or [email protected].
There are several opportunities to recognize CCCA’s 40 years of service to the community. You can make a special one-time “$40 for 40” donation, contribute a themed basket for The 70s Event basket raffle, or become an event sponsor. Details are available at carolinearts.org or by calling 410-479-1009. CCCA is proud to recognize Scott M. Novak D.D.S., Doug’s Tire Service, Provident State Bank, and Avery Hall Insurance as event sponsors.
