The Tilghman Watermen’s Museum Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointment of Jim Moses as Museum Curator. Moses is a retired Navy Commander who has lived on Tilghman Island since 1998. While on active duty he specialized in sonar and antisubmarine warfare systems.
Following retirement his interest in maritime history lead him to volunteer with the Naval Historical Foundation in the design of exhibits for the Cold War Gallery of the Navy Museum in Washington. He teamed with his wife Marti, also a Museum volunteer, to breed and show Belgian Malinois dogs, and now serves as a trustee and the treasurer of the Malinois Rescue Trust. He is a graduate of the Naval Academy.
Moses serves the Museum as a volunteer and will be responsible for the acquisition and preservation of the Museum’s artifacts. He will also develop the Museum’s rotating exhibits, artwork and educational programing within its new facilities at 6031 Tilghman Island Road when it reopens in the Spring.
