Robert A. Frank joined University of Maryland Shore Regional Health in early November as senior vice president of operations. An accomplished senior executive with over three decades of leadership experience in health care operations and finance, Frank has an outstanding record of accomplishment in program development, strategic planning, financial results turn around, physician relations and team building.
Most recently, Frank served as vice president and chief financial officer of Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, West Virginia. Prior to that position, he spent 32 years at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center, a regional health care system in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that is comprised of acute care, ambulatory and post-acute care activities, physician practices, foundation and for profit entities with net revenues in excess of $250 million. During his last eight years at Jefferson, Frank served as chief financial officer, senior vice president and ultimately executive vice president.
Frank holds BA, MPA and MBA degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. Awarded CFO of the Year by the Pittsburgh Times in 2005, he is a published author and lecturer at national and state meetings.
