The Tilghman Watermen’s Museum has announced the appointment of Linda Haddaway King to its Board of Directors.
A native of Tilghman Island, Linda left Maryland when she was eighteen to go to Grossmont College in California. After a successful twenty-year career in Student Information Systems at the University of Pittsburgh, she left the University to pursue a Master’s Degree, teach and do missionary work in Romania. She was recruited to work for Cornerstone Television where she is currently employed remotely as a Systems Administrator. She learned many facets of television production, fundraising, and was on-air for three years.
Linda and her husband of 41 years recently moved back to Tilghman. She was recruited to volunteer at the Museum, and is pleased to have found a place to tell the stories of growing up on Tilghman. Her goal as a volunteer is to recruit more local people to get involved with the museum so that they, too, can tell the stories of Tilghman.
“We look forward to welcoming Linda and appreciate the time and talent she will bring to the museum as it develops its educational programming,” said Ann Polo, the museum’s president.
