In keeping with October as the National Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Women & Girls Fund of the Mid-Shore and UM Memorial Hospital Foundation hosted a benefit luncheon and program featuring New York Times best-selling author and breast cancer survivor Kelly Corrigan on October 13, 2016. The event was held at the Tidewater Inn Gold Room where the sold-out crowd enjoyed a delicious luncheon and outstanding program about surviving breast cancer that was, in turns, hilarious and poignant. Proceeds from the event will benefit the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Clark Comprehensive Breast Center and special programs of the Women & Girls Fund.
