Royal Oak, Maryland in Talbot County dates back to land grants made in 1659! The Royal Oak tree was a white Oak that was originally called Bartlett’s Oak because it stood on John Bartlett’s land somewhere close to the Bellevue ferry Road. The tree was cut down in 1867!
