The A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation has announced that it will match donations made to the Friends of the Easton Volunteer Fire Department’s (EVFD) Public Safety Capital Campaign for its Emergency Services Training Campus in Easton, Maryland through September 30, 2024. The Clark Foundation’s match includes all private and local donations made until Friends of EVFD reaches its $5 million fundraising goal. To date, $3 million has been raised, including a $1 million investment from the Clark Foundation in September 2023.
The Emergency Services Training Campus, located at 9095 Mistletoe Drive, is a state-of-the-art training campus that will serve the town of Easton, fire departments, emergency service personnel, law enforcement, and paramedics in Talbot County. There currently is no combined first responder training facility in Talbot County or on the Mid-Shore.
“The Clark Foundation remains committed to supporting the Friends of Easton Volunteer Fire Department as they raise the remaining funds needed to build the Emergency Services Training Campus in Easton,” said Clark Foundation President and CEO Joe Del Guercio. “Providing Talbot County’s first responders with the training they need is essential, it impacts the lives of every resident, and we hope this match will encourage the community to join us in supporting this campaign.”
