On Sunday, September 29th, a screening of SENTENCED, the documentary film produced by Steph Curry and his wife, Ayesha, that focuses on adult illiteracy will be shown at North Dorchester High School. The film was recently screened at the Library of Congress.
With the fortunate backing of the J2W Foundation, assistance of Joy Moore and lead sponsor, Dock Street Foundation, the film will be locally supported and promoted by the Campaign for Grade Level Reading, a national organization with over 350 communities networked that are laser focused on the predictive indicator of 3rd grade reading. Afterward, a panel discussion with local leaders and educators will discuss the pathways to improving outcomes.
Al Sikes, one of the co-founders of the READ Foundation, will moderate the discussion.
