The ‘Friends’ of the Talbot County Free Library are hosting a special performance by the Maryland Opera at the Library from 5:30 to 7:30 on May 22 at its 100 West Dover Street location in Easton. It’s sure to be an entertaining “introduction to opera”. And, you don’t even have to get dressed up in a tuxedo or long dress!
The cost of $25 includes complimentary drinks and appetizers from Piazza Italian Market. The new president of Friends of the Talbot County Free Library, Frank Carollo, will be hosting the event and introducing the program.
Jason Buckwalter, General Director of Maryland Opera – which is presenting the program – has described the performance as featuring familiar selections performed by soprano Natalie Conte, mezzo soprano Kate Jackman, and tenor Louis Tiemann; with James Harp at the piano. Mr. Harp will also give descriptions of the selections in his unique and engaging way. There are a limited number of seats for this program, so don’t delay!
