Talbot County Democratic Forum president, Michele Dappert, says, “This fun annual event is a great opportunity for community-minded folks to come together to enjoy food and conversation in one of Talbot County’s most beautiful venues, and to learn about progress made in the last year and our exciting initiatives going forward. It’s a combination of work and play event!”
Started in the mid-nineties, the Talbot County Democratic Forum met a need for a community of Democrats to become involved in the local Party and to make a difference in local, state, and national elections. Forum members are activists who believe change is possible with an educated electorate, and they have built their base upon that premise. The Forum sponsors the monthly First Friday events at Democratic Headquarters in Easton, hosts symposia for candidates, sponsors a Fourth of July booth at the County Fair, brings in speakers on key topics, organizes social events, registers voters, and raises money to support candidates up and down the ballot.

Where: Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Talbot St. St. Michaels, MD (no museum admission fees to attend the event)
The event kicks off at 4:00 PM with an hour dedicated to connecting with local Democrats, sharing ideas, and enjoying complimentary food and drink, 5-6:00 Annual Meeting and 6-7:00ish address by the keynote speaker Talbot County Democratic Central Committee will be on hand to share news and updates. “High Kicker” Democrat of the Year Award Ceremony: Celebrate the dedication and contributions of this year’s honoree during a special ceremony that reinforces the importance of democratic values.
