“Saturday in the Park” embodies the heart of Chesapeake Creative Wellness: building community through creativity and support. The organization uses a peer counseling model to support individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress and anxiety-related issues, as well as their families and friends. All of the group’s programming is completely free—with no clinical or medical components—providing a safe and welcoming environment where people can experience the healing power of music and the arts.
