The Working Artists Forum Announces 2nd Annual Pretty in Pink Art Show and Sale to Benefit the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center at UM Shore Regional Health

The Working Artists Forum will hold the 2nd Annual “Pretty in Pink,” a special art show and sale, on Friday, October 3, 4 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday, October 4, 11 am to 4 pm, at the Waterfowl Building in Easton. Open to the public and showcasing more than 70 framed works of fine art created by members of the Working Artists Forum and special guest artists from the Washington Society of Landscape Painters.  This event will benefit University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s Clark Comprehensive Breast Center in Easton.

“With this second annual exhibit and sale, the accomplished artists of the Working Artists Forum are excited to raise funds to support the advancement of breast cancer treatment in our region,” said Stacey Sass, Working Artists Forum member. “Like last year, “Pretty in Pink” will be an uplifting display and sale of diverse fine art works created and donated by renowned local artists, set in a positive, fun atmosphere.”

Highlights of this year’s “Pretty in Pink” event will be the opening reception on Friday, which will feature refreshments provided by restaurateurs and music by Anna Burgess. At 6 pm, a brief official program will mark the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and also honor Roberta J. Lilly, MD, former medical director of the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center who retired earlier this year. On Saturday, the event will include demonstrations of various media provided by participating artists.

“Pretty in Pink” will provide educational information about risk factors for breast cancer, as well as diagnostic tools, treatment strategies and patient support services offered by the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center.

“On behalf of the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center team, we are all looking forward to the 2nd annual Pretty in Pink Art Show and Sale,” said Kathryn Kelley, MD, Medical Director of Center. “The funds raised through this event will help us achieve our mission of providing timely screening, diagnosis, treatment and support for those on the breast cancer journey.”

“In addition to the art works for sale, two pieces will be raffled and many others will be offered through a silent auction, generously donated by renowned artists of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters,” said Betty Huang.
