Project Rewind-Talbot County: This photo was taken from the Notebook of Civil Works Administration projects in Talbot County in 1934! Street paving in St. Michaels, Maryland, was Project 2 in the notebook, and the sign reads C. W. A. ” Resurfacing Dobson Avenue”. The C. W. A. ,Civil Works Administration ,was set up by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in November 1933 to try to help end the depression by providing over 4 million manual labor jobs during the winter of 1933-1934. Also interesting is the Robert L. Seth Wood & Coal company down Dobson Avenue on the right! Are any of these St. Michaels, Maryland buildings still there?

Yes, the house on the distant left is 226 Dodson Ave and has been restored to its original exterior. I believe that’s 207 Dodson on the right (likely a Sears House) is visible and recently restored.
