Over the last 12 years, the Spy and Londonderry on the Tred Avon have collaborated on stories about this unique retirement community, which educates its residents and the broader community. With Christine Harrington’s appointment as Londonderry’s CEO, we decided to follow her as she learns about the nooks and crannies of this beautiful campus.
In our most recent episode, Christine catches up with Michelle Pepper, the front desk receptionist at Londonderry, who is entering her second year but says it already feels like home. Michelle helps residents with phones, mail, packages, work orders, and everyday requests, but she says the most important part of her job is representing the community and building trust with residents, whose relationships and appreciation make the work especially meaningful.
