I don’t have exact numbers, but based on the above counts, Talbot county had 4,625 people cast ballots. A quick search (again may not be accurate) there are 30,700 residents over the age of 18 in Talbot County. That’s 15% of potential voters who took the time. I suspect similar turnout in other Eastern Shore Counties. That’s appalling. Maybe the Democrats and the Republicans need to spend more time on just plain getting people to vote than trying to get elected/re-elected?
