Faith, Politics, and Friendship Collide in New Groove/Factory Play: A Chat with Luci Thomas

Some plays offer answers. Will Arbery’s Heroes of the Fourth Turning is more interested in the questions. Set in rural Wyoming shortly after the 2017 Charlottesville rally, the play brings together four young conservative Catholics whose reunion becomes an intense debate over faith, politics, friendship, and the future of America.

In this Spy interview, we talk to Groove/Factory director Luci Thomas, about this production, where no one truly wins the argument. Instead, the audience watches as strongly held beliefs collide, personal wounds surface, and a group of friends struggles to make sense of a divided country.

Performances  are 7pm Thursday Friday and Saturday, and 3pm on Sunday at the Avalon Theatre, 40 East Dover Street in Easton. Tickets can be purchased here.
