Voters will have an opportunity to meet the five Democratic candidates seeking seats on the Talbot County Council during a public candidate forum on Friday, August 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Michaels Community Center, 103 Railroad Avenue in St. Michaels.
Hosted jointly by Concerned Citizens of Bay Hundred, Talbot Indivisible, and the Talbot County Democratic Forum, the free event is open to the public. It will feature informal networking followed by a moderated question-and-answer session with the candidates.
Collectively known as Team Talbot, the candidates are Pete Lesher, Susan Delean-Botkin, Marvin Foster, and St. Michaels residents Mike Bibb and Brian Naranjo.
Representing a broad range of professional backgrounds and community leadership experience, Team Talbot is campaigning on a vision of responsible, common-sense growth that protects the qualities residents value most about Talbot County.
Their platform emphasizes preserving the county’s natural beauty, rich history, rural character, and waterways while encouraging thoughtful development that strengthens communities without sacrificing the area’s distinctive identity.
Attendees are encouraged to bring questions. The event will offer voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about the issues facing Talbot County and their plans for its future.
