This is one way a group of young people had fun in Talbot County 122 years ago!! This photo is from a 1904 photo album that belonged to 21-year-old Kate Searles Elliott, who was born in 1883 at Llandaff on PeachBlossom Creek. Kate is toward the bow with her elbow on the gunwale. In 1912 she married William B. Shannahan and is the grandmother of Bob Shannahan, who shared the album with the Talbot Historical Society. Kate’s other grandchildren are Will Shannahan, Jenny Shannahan Bunch, Art Cecil, Kitty Cecil Calavita, and Tom Hill. The photo was taken near Peachblossom Bridge on Peachblossom Creek between Easton and Oxford, Maryland.
