As the summer comes to a close, the community is invited to gather for a time of singing and fellowship under the direction of Monte Maxwell, Concert Organist and Director of Chapel Music, USNA. The Church of the Holy Trinity is sponsoring a Hymn Sing Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary (502 S. Morris St. Oxford MD).
For thousands of years and across cultures and faiths, people have gathered to sing songs that have/are central to their worship and daily life. What are your songs? Bring a favorite title or two, choose from the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal or from a special collection! The Hymn Sing will be accompanied on Holy Trinity’s new Walker Technical Digital Organ. The sounds of this instrument, under the auspices of Monte Maxwell, will bring back memories of special experiences and gatherings – raising us up in song. This will be a great afternoon to sing together as a community!
There are no tickets. A free will offering will be taken to help with artist expenses. We request attendees bring a non-perishable food item for local food pantries. If you have any questions, please contact the Church office at 410-226-5134.
