Spymaster’s note: The Spy is particularly pleased to see Agent 004 return and this significant development take place in Royal Oak.
After a brief hiatus, T at the General Store will reopen for dinner on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Our Spy was driving around Royal Oak, noticed a lot of activity at T, and stopped by to talk with owner Paul Turczynski and new Chef Makendy Marc.
Marc, a classically trained chef, has worked in the Miami area for over 20 years, including a stint in South Carolina. He described his culinary style as leaning toward Mediterranean cuisine. He was drawn to the T’s bistro community vibe. Expect T’s classic dishes on his menu, with additional menu items added over time, featuring Marc’s signature cooking style. According to Turczynski, the majority of T’s friendly front-of-house wait staff will be returning as well. The restaurant will be open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
T has been a go-to community dining spot for Royal Oak residents for many years, and a convenient destination for people from St. Michaels, Easton, and Oxford looking for a low-key change of pace. This Spy and many others are thrilled to hear that the T will reopen soon.
