48 Local Artists Exhibit at the Strathmore Mansion

“The Working Artists Forum, Creating Art of the Eastern Shore” is a joint show of 48 members of WAF, a professional organization of 102 working artists based in Easton, MD, and the exhibit is displayed March 20th through May 22nd at the historic Mansion at Strathmore in Bethesda, MD.

This diverse show is a celebration of WAF’s 40th Anniversary featuring both plein air and studio work. The exhibition is an exuberant representation of the Eastern Shore featuring landscapes, still life, portraits, seascapes, wildlife, marine, animals, florals and more.

The artists who are participating are: Sandy Alanko, Jane Anderson, Evie Baskin, Carol Cowie, Polly Cox, Joan Cranor, Gerry Czajkowski, Nancy Davis, Janet DiNapoli, Kathy Ellis, Jack Fancher, Mary Ford, Rhonda Ford, Kathleen Gardiner, Kathy Gibson, Jill Glassman, Shirley Hales, Mo Herbert, Patti Hopkins, Bonnie Howell, Betty Huang, Carla Huber, Barbara Kern-Bush, Jane Knighton, Kathy Kopec, Marianne Kost, Mary Ellen Mabe, Carol McClees, Anne McLaughlin, Karen Merkin, Patty Mowell, Stephanie Nadolski, Kathleen Quinn, Anne Reder, Kathy Rogers, Maggii Sarfaty, Stacey Sass, Lea Sloan, Judy Specht, Scott Sullivan, Nancy Thomas, Georgette Toews, Stephen Walker, Judy Ward, Barbara Watson, Maureen Wheatley, Judy Wolgast, and Barbara Zuwhlke.

Each artist will present a piece of work in the 1st floor gallery at this prestigious venue. The Mansion at Strathmore is home to intimate artistic programs in both the mansion and the outdoor pavilion and Sculpture gardens.

Currant Gallery viewing hours are:
Wednesday 12pm – 4pm, Thursday private appointment only, Friday 12pm – 4pm, Saturday 12pm – 4pm, and Sunday – Tuesday closed.
