The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has streamlined the process of making overnight reservations at its Members-Only Marina through a new partnership with Dockwa.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has streamlined the process of making reservations at its Members-Only Marina through a new partnership with industry technology leader Dockwa.

Starting immediately, CBMM members can reserve marina slips via Dockwa’s web portal and app. The Dockwa app is free for iPhone and Android through the App Store and Google Play.

“We believe this is a game-changer for our Members-Only Marina,” CBMM’s Vice President of Engagement Shannon Mitchell said. “Dockwa makes booking a reservation quick and easy. A majority of our members are already using the platform, so we anticipate a seamless transition.”

Open daily, CBMM’s Members-Only Marina offers 55 slips with electric, pump-out service, climate-controlled showers, Wi-Fi, and other great amenities. Hourly and overnight docking are available on CBMM’s waterfront campus along the Miles River, just a few blocks from historic downtown St. Michaels. More information, including an updated Boaters’ Guide for the 2024 season, is available at cbmm.org/docking.

Launched in 2015, Dockwa has become the nation’s largest marina management software company with more than 2,000 partner marinas, 300,000 active boaters, and 10 million nights booked across the U.S. It has a proven track record of helping marinas of all sizes to streamline operational efficiency, improve guest experience, and expand marketing efforts via its platform.

With Dockwa, CBMM members can seamlessly request overnight reservations, receive confirmation, and communicate with marina staff. The platform offers the convenience and flexibility to utilize the app or CBMM’s Dockwa page that is searchable on dockwa.com and accessible via cbmm.org/docking.

Members are encouraged, but not required, to create a Dockwa account to book overnight reservations. Requests can also be made by contacting the marina via phone (410-745-4946) or email ([email protected]).

Overnight docking is reserved for CBMM members at the Mariner level and above, while Household level members and above have hourly docking privileges, with the slips first-come, first-served if space is available.

To purchase a CBMM membership and become part of the Chesapeake story, visit cbmm.org/memberships or contact Membership Services Coordinator Debbie Ruzicka at 410-745-4991 or [email protected].
