Over the last 12 years, the Spy and Londonderry on the Tred Avon have collaborated on stories about this unique retirement community, highlighting its commitment to educating both residents and the broader community. With Christine Harrington’s appointment as Londonderry’s CEO, we decided to follow her as she discovers the many nooks and crannies of this beautiful campus.
In this edition of Cruisin’ with Christine, she chats with a new residents’ group called Women Connecting, which is creating something simple but important: a safe place for women to talk, listen, and get to know one another more deeply.
The group meets twice a month to talk about topics ranging from aging and family to role models, heirlooms, and even snow. What began as an idea to bring women together has grown into a close-knit gathering built on trust, shared experience, and friendship.
