The Academy Art Museum is offering a variety of summer camps through the end of the summer that offer a creative alternative to summer vacation. The camps are offered for children of all ages and include a variety of mediums and topics. Children ages 6 years and older can attend two weeks of the Museum’s signature multi-media camp, Kaleidoscope Summer Arts Camp, (July 24–28 or July 31–August 4, 12:30–3:30 p.m.).
Children ages 10 through 13 can participate in camps for Papier Mâché Sculpture (July 17–21, 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.); Play with Clay (July 24–28, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 noon); and an Architecture Camp (August 7–11, 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.).
The Museum is offering three new camps: Dive into the World of Math and Art! for grades 6 through 8 (August 14-18, 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.) and two new creative writing workshops for students in grades 7 through 12: Creative Writing Workshop: Poetry (August 7–11, 10 a.m.–12:00 noon) and Creative Writing Workshop: Fiction and Short Stories (August 7–11, 1 – 3 p.m.).
