On the weekend of Nov 14-15, non-profits throughout Easton are working together, along with local restaurants and others, to offer a socially-distanced Community Day – Arts & Culture Celebration. Participating organizations will offer a wide range of programming (for adults, families, kids) that showcases their community commitment and their individual missions – which, when taken all together, make Easton unique! Programs ranging from family art activities, lectures, a drive through art gallery, conservation activities, music and many more will be taking place at a variety of locations, many of which are outdoors.
The Avalon Foundation will host “Art For the Outdoors” a driving exhibition and sale of artwork specifically produced for the outdoors by local artists. The drive thru exhibition and sale will be held Saturday, November 14 from 10 am- 4 pm and Sunday, November 15 from noon-4 pm. Artwork will be displayed along Hanson Street between South Street and Idlewild Avenue in Easton, MD and can be viewed on foot with proper social distancing or from the comfort and safety of your car. This event is rain or shine.
The Spy sat down with Avalon’s Jessica Bellis to learn more about this unique event the other day.
This video is approximately three minutes in length. Local artists are encouraged to register here.
