Naturalist and Photographer Wil Hershberger will be the speaker for the March 5, 2012 Brown Bag Lunch at noon at the St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Free Library. The topic will be “A Celebration of Bird Songs”, following the songs of a selection of birds
from winter into early summer — this celebration of the voices of birds exhibits the photography and sound recordings of Wil Hershberger and his passion for these lovely singers. A few of these singers will be looked at more closely as we examine what they are actually singing and perhaps saying to members of their own species.
Wil has been president of the Potomac Valley Audubon Society and the Frederick chapter of the Maryland Ornithological Society, the Vice President of the Shenandoah Photographic Society and a moderator of the Flora and Macro Forum on the NatureScapes.net online photography community. He is a co-founder of the Potomac Valley Nature Photographers.
The Friends of the Library are sponsors of the program and patrons are invited to bring a lunch and enjoy coffee and desserts provided by the library. All library programs are free and open to the public. For more information you can call (410) 745-5877 or go to the library website at www.tcfl.org.
