The Friends of the Talbot County Free Library will hold their annual Book Sale on Friday, November 4th, 9 – 5, and Saturday, November 5th, 9 – 3, in the Easton branch, 100 W. Dover St. Two rooms full of a great variety of books, all at bargain prices, will be open to the public.
A Preview Party on Thursday, November 3rd, 5 – 7 p.m., will give Friends of the Library first choice of the books for sale. Anyone can join in on the spot by becoming a member, at $10 a year per family.
Donations will be welcomed on Wednesday, November 2nd, 9 – 6, at the Easton branch. Books, CDs and DVDs (no VHS) must be in good condition. Please, no textbooks or any financial, medical or computer books over 3 years old. You can get a tax deduction when you donate (as well as free shelf space!)
The Friends enhance both the Easton and St. Michaels branches with gifts such as iPads, books, decorations, and furniture. They host the Brown Bag Lunch speaker series, and contribute to activities like the Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival and Teen Open Mike. Saturday’s Book Sale will coincide with fun projects of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Fest, helped by the Friends. All Book Sale profits go right back to the community. Be a Friend to your Friend and join us on November 4th and 5th.
