The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md., is offering a women-only woodworking class in its Workshop Annex on March 27 & 28, from 9am –4:30pm each day. Participants should plan to attend both sessions.
Shipyard Education Programs Manager Jennifer Kuhn will lead this program, after which participants will take home a custom-made mallet. Attendees will also learn how to make a cut list, buy lumber, measure lengths and angles, and safely use a table saw, band saw, miter saw, router, drill, sander, and a variety of hand tools.
The cost for this two-day workshop is $130 for non-members, with a 20% discount for CBMM members. Participants must be 16 years of age or older, unless accompanied by an adult. For additional details and to register, visit cbmm.org/womenswoodworking.
